A consultation begins with an examination, not with a procedure. The aim is that you understand what you have, what might help, and what will not — before any decision is made.
Some conditions need no intervention now, and some need medical treatment before anything cosmetic. Saying so plainly is part of the work, not an exception to it. Where a procedure is not appropriate, that is stated and the alternative explained.
